Hi, we're the Sensory Slime Shoppe.
We're a mother-daughter team from Leland, North Carolina, and we make slime. A lot of slime. What started as a kitchen-table hobby turned into a mobile sensory play business — pop-ups around Wilmington, Leland, Hampstead and Topsail Island Brewing, school and museum events, and birthday parties all over the Cape Fear coast.
Every jar is hand-mixed in small batches. We test every texture ourselves (it's a tough job), and nothing goes out the door that we wouldn't hand to our own friends and family.
Meet Axel
That little teal axolotl climbing out of the slime jar? That's Axel, our mascot and head of quality control. Axolotls are curious, a little goofy and always smiling — which is exactly how we think slime time should feel. If you see Axel on a sticker, a table banner or a pop-up sign, you've found us.
Why sensory play?
Slime, squishies and sensory jars aren't just fun — they're calming, focusing and wonderfully screen-free. We've watched fidgety kids settle in, nervous first-timers light up, and more than a few grown-ups at our pop-ups discover that squeezing a jar of butter slime is the best part of their week. That's the whole point.
